There's nothing more you need to prove to anyone. Instead of him being the judge you now have two munchkins judging your success at that role. I'm pretty confident they're going to approve wholeheartedly. Not that you’re still in any sort of competition at this point…and with no disrespect to your father…you’ve won at the most IMPORTANT task you’ve taken on — the one of being a father. I have struggled with trying to be perfect for most of my life, so I feel your pain! Great advice to focus on why, and I really like how you don't blame your dad - you are just aware of your own issues and working on trying to get better. I love that!
